Time to get to work!
I picked up my power tools last night! I got the last kit in the state which saved me a good $100, very happy about that! I went today and picked up 60 boards (2"x3"x5') for $30, I was really excited to have gotten such a good deal. I'm hoping to get into the studio as early as possible tomorrow so I can crank up the music and get to work. I've been spending tonight rehashing my ideas for form and looking for inspiration images. I'm itching to get into the studio, unload and get started! I do have to say, though, I am a bit apprehensive about getting going...since I'm doing a sculpture rather than something in another discipline it's not anything that I can drastically change all that much after I start....what if it's not sufficient? Hopefully I'll have some progress images to show soon.

If anyone is thinking about getting any Dremel tools just get the regular Dremel. I tried the Dremel Trio and the Dremel Multimax and neither really do much, the Dremel is great though!
ReplyDeleteI think because you are less able to go back and change things once started, just try to be really careful about everything you are doing, totally planned out and go step by step. If you're sure of yourself you will do great. I'm glad to see the excitement you have for the project.
